  • In 1994, John Sharp, State of Texas Comptroller, conducted an audit of a self-insured workers' compensation (WC) program designed, installed and managed by INSPRO (an affiliate of RISKPRO). John Sharp reported in his audit that WC costs were 14% lower in this program than the average cost of the 50 largest school districts in the State of Texas.

  • Competitive bid specifications for a municipality on property, liability, workers' compensation and medical insurance produced first year savings of $587,000.

  • Design and implementation of an Occupational Safety and Health Plan for a client reduced claim frequency producing savings of $129,500 in the first six months.

  • Negotiated a refund from an insurer on behalf of a client for $377,129 related to a surcharge by the insurer in California.

  • Bid specifications for a trailer manufacturer on workers' compensation, property and liability coverages generated first year savings of $170,000.

  • Four year risk management contract with a port authority generated premium savings in excess of $150,000 on all lines of coverage. Negotiations on a property (fire) claim resulted in an increase in hard settlement dollars of $33,244. Claim settled for $155,538.

  • In the early 1990s a large publicly traded utility purchased oil and gas assets in Texas and the Gulf of Mexico. The firm was engaged to design, implement and monitor a certificate of insurance program for all aspects of the contractors and subcontractors used in the oil and gas operations.
